Abigail Friedman is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Health Policy and Management at Yale School of Public Health. Her research applies behavioral and health economics to the study of individuals’ health behaviors and health-related decision-making, with particular attention to disparities by socioeconomic status, education, and mental health, as well as interventions and policies that might attenuate these gaps. Current projects includes analyses of how electronic cigarettes impact teen smoking, work on the relationship between mental health and risky behavior, and an RWJF funded experiment applying behavioral economics to improve Medicare plan choice.
