Susan Busch’s Paper in Health Affairs on ACA and Young Adults

August 5, 2014

Susan Busch, Associate Professor of Public Health at EPH, along with co-authors Ezra Golberstein and Ellen Meara, recently published a paper in Health Affairs.

“ACA Dependent Coverage Provision Reduced High Out-Of-Pocket Health Care Spending For Young Adults”

The authors look at how the ACA’s dependent coverage provision, which has allowed young adults under 26 to be covered under their parents’ insurance, has effectively reduced the out-of-pocket medical expenses for young people at a time in their lives when they typically earn low wages.
